Well, “Cream” is ideally what I’m going for, but what I wind up with may be a totally different story… LOL!

First some background information…

My beloved Laced Lemon-Blue, “Lacey Louie” (my one-stop-shopping rooster, color-wise) gave me two very pretty girls, Mischa and Michelle. As luck would have it, Michelle was a late bloomer, and had to have her name changed to McHale. Needless to say, I was not happy with this development! Lacking cage space and suitable partners, I bred these two together, and they gave me three girls (VERY unusual for me!), and only one boy, a frizzled, silkied boy. I kept the two smooth girls, and put them with their grandfather, Lacey Louie, and currently have their eggs in the incubator. Looking at the color of the three girls, I almost think they might be dun, but my genetic knowledge is sparse, so I’m unsure of what their color actually is… perhaps it’s just a dilute form of their grandfather??? Their lacing appears to be a very light blue… At any rate, I am so-o-o eager, and curious, to see what comes out of the incubator in three weeks… I’m really hoping for some “cream” colored birds, to continue working on this project!!! Does anyone have any ideas as to the girls’ color, or what to expect from this pairing???
